Deaf Aotearoa

Specialised Disability Providers

Assistance is provided for deaf people who wish to make changes in their lives.

Needs are (jointly) identified at an interview between a client and a service co-ordinator. These may include income, accommodation, well-being and personal, educational or vocational aspirations. After the interview the service coordinator and client develop a service plan to meet identified needs. This may include advice and intervention to help the client access existing services, or the service coordinator may develop specific services and/or training programmes to meet particular needs.
